George Zimmerman
It’s been slightly more than a year since I last blogged about George Zimmerman, when my last Zimmerman prediction proved correct. I had predicted, “within the next five years, George Zimmerman will be arrested (or otherwise detained by authorities) again for actions that involve a firearm.” Of course, that turned out to come true after just a few months.
Well, guess what? Like a Floridian poltergeist that won’t stay away, he’s back.
George Zimmerman is back in the news after being arrested on Friday night for aggravated assault — domestic violence with a weapon. His weapon of choice, this time, was not a gun, but rather a wine bottle. And now, he’s out on bond awaiting a court date in February.
Fourteen months ago, I wrote:
You don’t have to be a psychiatrist or a psychic to understand that George Zimmerman is likely to be involved in further troubles. It’s not merely coincidence that he’s again in the news. He’s not a victim of circumstance. There is something fundamental about his nature that seems to lead to trouble.
So, will my updated George Zimmerman Prediction come to pass? That is, will George Zimmerman end up being involved in another firearm-related death? His own or somebody else’s? I hope not, but only time will tell.
